Reaching deep into the beltway to pick the new Chairman... ?!!
What a disappointment! 

How about instead taking a note from history and selecting someone who understands (is part of) the base and knows how to motivate it, is very learned in politics and law, is as Republican as can be, offers proven strategy analysis and leadership direction, effectively bypasses the drive-by media on a routine basis, and demonstrates needed effective charisma.  (Sounds kind of Reagan-esk, doesn’t it.)   

I’m talking about none other than our friend Mr. Hugh Hewitt, of course.

I’m sure Mr. Martinez is a fine man.  But I have little reason to believe he’s going to be anything other than more of the same, ineffective formula.  Mr. Hewitt is our man for the same reason Tony Snow is the man for Whitehouse Spokesman.
